catherine's cupboard

catherine’s cupboard responds to the issue of student food insecurity by providing services to alleviate hunger on campus. the food cupboard is located in visitation house/campus ministry and consists of non-perishable, cold, and frozen food items to sustain students and their families for a short time.

Food items are supplied via donation. Students, faculty, staff, clubs & organizations, community members, and friends of the University have made both financial and food donations.  Students can be referred to Catherine’s Cupboard by Financial Aid, an advisor, faculty, or staff member, or reach out on their own. More information can be provided by emailing in order to maintain a sense of anonymity and dignity for students who might want to take advantage of the food cupboard.

ensuring that students’ human dignity and anonymity are upheld is our main concern; this is why we provide a discreet entrance to visitation house. we ask students who utilize the food cupboard to sign in using a student id only, so that there’s no way for others to know who they are. we also provide all students with a community resource guide featuring contact information for more long-term resources in both montgomery and bucks counties.

if your computer had issues, you would take it to it. if you had a sinus infection, you would see the nurse in the health and wellness center. if you needed help paying for books, you would reach out to financial aid. if hunger is getting in the way of your student success, we want you to know that catherine’s cupboard is here and available for you to utilize! it’s really difficult to pay attention in class, study, learn, remember information, and be successful as a student when you haven’t eaten. please take advantage of the resources that are available to you!
